Just like the company itself, the name Skare is Swedish. You know when the snow starts to melt, but then the top layer freezes again, turning hard and crunchy? That’s “Skare”.

And much like a Swedish snow-covered landscape, the design of Skare is simple and minimalistic. But while Swedes are often described as reserved and modest, there’s nothing reserved or modest about the way we combine stylish, playful expression with functionality. The Skare design is as straightforward as the appliance is to use. Let’s keep things neat and simple.

Our ambition

In this day and age, it is simply unreasonable for us to still be transporting bottles of water across the globe. We are not the first to sell Soda Makers. But for a long time, they only fulfilled the function of giving the user carbonated water and most of them were really ugly. And who wants an ugly plastic machine on display in one of the home's most important rooms? No one! Therefore, they were put away in cupboards, and it didn’t take long before they were forgotten. Skare is not an appliance that you’ll want to hide in the cupboard; it’s an appliance that adds both style and luxury to your kitchen.

We want to make tasty, bubbly, and healthy water available for all to enjoy. The same goes for design and quality. Which is why we offer a stylish, smart, and affordable product that more people can enjoy, year after year.

Sustainability

Carbonating your own water at home means fewer plastic bottles in circulation. It also means fewer transports from the water source to the factory as well as to and from the store. Did you know that a CO2 cylinder makes about 60 litres of carbonated water, which equals 120 PET bottles? An easy win.

Skare’s water bottle is made of BPA-free PET, free from toxins, and can be washed in the dishwasher. A dishwasher consumes an average of 12 litres of water per cycle, while an open tap consumes up to 12 litres of water per MINUTE. Kind of blows your mind, doesn’t it?

The Skare Soda Maker is made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is recyclable, with no deterioration of quality in the process. This makes it a natural, environmental material that can be used for centuries to come. And when the appliance is on display – and as stylish as the Skare Soda Maker – it will be.
